If you are planning on
bringing a hairdryer on your travels, we
recommend a small collapsible model such as the
one shown below. These dryers will get the
job done, but will take slightly longer to dry
your hair compared to larger more powerful
models. You are packing lite and compact,
so this is the way to go rather than bringing a
large bulky dryer along with you.
Even if the hairdryer you use at home says
it will work with 125v-250v, it's probably
quite large and heavy. You may still
want to consider purchasing a small,
lightweight and collapsible model as they
are relatively inexpensive; probably around
$20 or so. The other alternative is to
get a haircut short enough that you do not
need to bring one at all!
When purchasing a
hairdryer for travel, be sure it will handle
both 125v and 250v. You will need a plug
adaptor for international travel so review our
page on
Electrical Plug Adaptors.
