On your travels, bringing
along a base layer to wear under other clothing
will provide extra warmth should it be required
as well as other possible clothing combinations.
One type of Under or Base
Layer clothing is Compression Clothing. Compression clothing
is a type of clothing that fit tight around the
skin. As compression clothing is usually
made of non-cotton materials such as Polyester/Elastane,
they are lightweight, quick drying and
packable, taking up little room in your pack.

In medical contexts,
compression garments provide support for people
who have to stand for long periods or have poor
circulation. They come in varying degrees of
compression and garments worn on the legs may
help prevent deep vein thrombosis and reduce
swelling, especially while traveling.
Compression clothing
can be quite expensive, especially when
shopping at your local sporting goods store.
We have found that Target (www.Target.com)
and Amazon offer alternatives to the
otherwise expensive versions and are perfect for travel.

Wearing any shirt
that has a reflective logo can actually
be an issue in photos using a flash. We
have actually had a logo reflect back so
much that it has ruined a photo.
