A comfortable sweatshirt
is one of the exceptions to the
waterproof/breathable backpacker type clothing
we mention on our other pages. Let’s face it,
there is nothing more comfortable than wearing a
broken-in sweatshirt. Your typical sweatshirt
will probably be 100% cotton so it’s going to be
a little larger than your other shirts and will
take up some additional room in your pack.
Sweatshirts that are 100% cotton are heavier
than synthetic material and are not
Moisture Wicking and Quick Drying.

Sweatshirts can easily be rolled up and strapped
to the exterior of your pack.
Wear your sweatshirt anytime for additional
warmth such as on your flight or around town.
While on your flight, roll up your sweatshirt
and place around your neck or against the window
for added support and comfort.
Sweatshirts can usually be warn over other
shirts.
If you are traveling during extremely cold
conditions, a sweatshirt will provide an extra
layer of warmth but in this case, consider a
fleece type
